Why 365 Stories
Finally made a New Year’s resolution that’s exciting and motivating enough to follow-through and resolve to attain. Read about it in my first post.
This blog is just what it says — 365 Stories — one story (or more) everyday for the 365 days of 2010.
Gotta admit that it did sound daunting, but now on my second day, I am starting to feel the excitement, and actually can’t wait to write many more stories.
Perhaps, I will write a few stories ahead of time, and schedule it for publication. Surely no one can fault me for trying to time the material for the proper date. Besides, it will give me the option to improve and enhance the story while still in draft mode.
I’ve described myself on my Multiply.com site as

sedate, laid-back, relaxed
lively, colorful, exciting
intellectual and curious
confident and deliberate
quiet (until she decides to talk)
decent though not necessarily demure. . . .
Perhaps Vikky should get herself
a pair of blingy horn-rimmed glasses too
I feel definitely comfortable with the cartoon, but it’s not a deliberate attempt to hide myself. My traditional straight summary: retired corporate public relations counselor, with 35 years of experience in the various fields of PR, including advertising and marketing, dance teacher, wire art designer, online travel agent, online marketer, blogger, MILA whole raw food distributor.
The underlying reason for this blog is my need to express myself without the discomfort of a social network, nor a group of friends to impress hehehe, controlling what I want to write about, and with whom I want to share it. Facebook, Twitter, WordPress and Blogger, have their pluses, but . . .
Pinoybizonline.com, this domain, is my own, and hosted with a reputable and reliable webhost web.com.ph, manned by people I can actually talk with and get instant friendly help from, in the few instances that I’ve had to get support.
Maintaining my own server and domain enables me to create my own blogs, experiment on internet technology, and practically write and promote anything I wish (all legal and safe, of course). So you’ll see blogs for some of the stuff I am concerned and interested with here. You are free to check them out if and when you want.
Wire Art Designs for Jewelry and Accessories. Discovered my knack for wire art some 7 years ago, and have since pursued the hobby that’s turned into an informal business. Quite satisfying and lucrative.
Living with chia seed, the whole raw food with so much Omega-3 fatty acids, that’s helped me recover my health and enabled me to lose 25 lbs in 5 months.
Wellness Options is an online store for a variety of natural solutions to health and wellness. It’s currently being drafted, but people can see portions of its already.
A travel search and booking blog that provides so many links and tips for the best travel experiences worldwide. Yes, I am an online travel agent, and am able to avail of the many perks of travel, including up to 90% discounts, upgrades.
Among the projects that are currently in the works are:
A Philippine business, blog, and people directory based on barangays, not just cities and provinces. This hopefully will enable communities to utilize its best resources, and allow neighbors to work together for their common good by relying mainly on themselves. I am finding it to be more difficult than I imagined. Perhaps that’s why no one has done it. Target is June 2010.
The Addict’s Guide (first published from 1997-2009 on geocities.com, and will be upload later). The proprietary (and “antiquated”) website creation program used on Geocities does nt exactly allow a clean migration of info and files to WordPress. I have been a dance teacher, and continue to occasionally teach, analyze and annotate dance.
